Well, we thought it was going to be easy to decide. But no, our Great Sunday lunch-off in Yardley Hastings was a tough one. Our first Sunday lunch was the thatched beauty of The Red Lion and the next contender was the village charm of The Rose and Crown. Both of their Sunday lunches in Round one and Round two could not be faulted. And we are picky customers when it comes to a good Sunday lunch.
So who was the winner? Where did we go for our final Sunday Lunch off? As a pair of total wimps we ended with a draw! And for our final Sunday lunch we went back to The Red Lion simply because I had spied on the menu roast pork with stuffing on our first visit.
And did the pork live up to expectations? It most certainly did, though I have never served roast pork with a Yorkshire pudding perched on top of it before, but hey why not?
